a poesia deve ser como o ar
acessível a todos, para que se respire
(onde se lê ar acrescente-se água e alimento)

sabemos
há quem discorde
há quem mate
há quem se oponha
à vida

Nicanor, também eu hei-de
morrer de poesia,
se lá chegar.


Nicanor knew and stated,
with better words, that
poetry should be like air
shared, so that everyone may breath
(where one reads air add water and food)

we know
there's discordance
there's killing
there's those who oppose
to life

Nicanor, I will also
die of poetry,
if I get there.
