quanto céu a terra pasmada antecipa?

tenho para devolver o fogo e a areia
trazidos por deus para a última festa

how much sky does the astonished earth anticipate?

I have to return the fire and sand
brought by god for the last party

o meu coração transborda de quente bom
no esplendor do corpo feito chão
que vestes de beijos

my heart overflows with warm good
in the splendor of the body made ground
that you clothe with kisses

Questionamento

Questioning

The immortality of the soul?
I only think about it when I'm distracted
And never at dawn and before drinking coffee
Because I'm still carrying the sick ideas of bad nights
My notion of the soul is more homeric
Like smoke or a shadow that detaches itself from the body
Or a breath in vain in the manner of Anaximenes
I also have mystical, Orphic and Pythagorean souls
It depends on the day
Never platonic in an immortal way
Don't go reminiscing about some outcast
Criminal or schizophrenic nest inside me forever
I don't know anything about these issues
Nor do I have the patience to discuss them on days when my mind is inside out
I can only feel my soul falling vertically inside me.

There was no longer room for my muse in my hand luggage, she left me somewhere along the way, I still wanted to write, but to no avail.

Houve chuva antes do cobre,

There was rain before copper,
there were pale butterflies in anonymous orchids,
there was unscheduled southerly wind at sunset.
Was there ever love without transactions?

Eu estou aqui, perdida no tempo.

Where have you been, as I never saw you again?
I'm here, lost in time.

Doem-me
os pés as mãos
o corpo que carrega a minha violência
que mata a palavra no grito
que não me deixa escrever
dói- me a mulher
que se olha no espelho aos cinquenta
e não sabe mais quem é
dói-me o tempo que não volta
a sua voz que ainda ouço
e a vida toda que ficou

It hurts
my feet, my hands
the body that carries my violence
that kills the word in the scream
that won't let me write
it hurts the woman
who looks in the mirror at fifty
and no longer knows who she is
it hurts the time that doesn't come back
the voice that I still hear
and the whole life that remained

Rio-me desta impossibilidade do silêncio, chorando vozes.

My steps are absent from me, walking between the erotic drive and the heretical definition. I elude death, screaming the secret of the trees in the immensity of the void. I laugh at this impossibility of silence, crying voices.

[a minha claustrofobia]

Claustrofobia:
estar fechada
e imobilizada,
dentro de uma sala vazia,
com a porta escancarada.

[my claustrophobia]

Claustrophobia:
be closed and immobilized,
inside an empty room,
with the door wide open.
