Aprendi a amar a beleza
                dos vasos quebrados
                        dos peitos esgarçados
                    das fissuras no teto
                do olhar inquieto
            do canto fora da nota
da gota que sai da rota
            da flor frágil e torta
no óbvio de uma natureza morta
                                    do dó grave no peito
                            do nó cego desfeito.

A sutil beleza de tudo
                que é alquebrado
                        e imperfeito.

I learned to love the beauty
        of broken vases
            of torn embraces
                of ceiling’s slight decay
            of the restless gaze away
        of an off-key note
a drop that drifts afloat
        a fragile flower, slightly bent
In the obviousness of a still life intent
                of deep sorrow held tight
and a blind knot turned light.

The subtle beauty found
        in all that’s
            worn
                and unsound.

Texturas.
Um toque.
A fusão:
entre a terra que dá vida
e a vida que honra a terra.

Textures.
A touch.
A fusion:
between the earth that gives life
and the life that honors the earth.

Even in the heaviest of skies, a rainbow can be drawn.

Um menino
um papel

das dobras
um barco

e a bacia vira mar.

A boy
a piece of paper

from the folds
a boat

and the bowl becomes the sea.

if love was a house
it would have a ceiling of sky, floor of light and windows for happy days

o fim é isto: acaba em mim o que para ti possa ser um começo. ou não.

this is what the end is: it stops with me what may be a beginning for you. or not.

I don’t know what you feel, I can’t accept anything less than love.

vivo em perda
invejo histórias alheias

fui afastado da sociedade o suficiente
para não saber da fragilidade das grilhetas

não soube sobreviver onde estás
chamo-me robinson, em qualquer dia da semana

I live in grief
jealous of other’s history

been removed from society time enough
unable to know the fragility of the fetters

couldn’t survive where you are
my name’s robinson, whatever the weekday

Houve chuva antes do cobre,

There was rain before copper,
there were pale butterflies in anonymous orchids,
there was unscheduled southerly wind at sunset.
Was there ever love without transactions?

Maybe that's what peace feels like:
not having to go.

You follow the path… in solid steps
… of the floor that escapes you…
… the force that solidifies this mark
… is in the glow that nothing can erase…
… it’s you, it’s yours…
Follow the belief that brought you here…

Sitting on a bench, I wait for my eyes to close, which is hard, wishing to dream that I want to forget so many things, so many recent and past events.
The brain doesn't relax in this soft sleep and gives me recurring signs of everything I don't wish for. There is no way to stop these tiresome thoughts.
I take a deep breath, deeper and deeper.
I calm this anxiety a little.
I take steps among nameless faces.
I try to lose myself, losing time, to find myself.
And to find the questions that I will never get to ask.

Chuva. Memórias derramadas. Os olhos são o espelho da alma. No espelho vejo-te através de mim. As memórias desaparecem, numa cognição da realidade.

Rain. Spilled memories. Eyes are the mirror of the soul. In the mirror I see you through me. Memories disappear, cognition of reality.

Kiša. Razlivena sećanja. Oči su ogledalo duše. U ogledalu vidim tebe kroz sebe. Sećanja su nestala, spoznaja stvarnosti.
